The Hauge Centre aims at becoming a meeting place for the local community and the surrounding region, by hosting artistic and cultural events.

Educational projects at the centre and on the centre's web site will arouse interest in and knowledge of literature in general, and of the work of Olav H. Hauge in particular.The Hauge Centre will be located in the Ulvik Town Hall, sharing facilities with the local tourist office and the local history archive.In the house, which is currently being renovated, there are plans for both study facilities and exhibitions.

The official opening of the centre is set to take place in 2012.
